How do timers work?
When you save a photo you choose how long it lives: 12, 24 or 36 hours on the free plan, or anywhere from 3 to 48 hours with Premium. When the timer runs out, the photo moves to Recently Deleted. The timer can't be changed after saving, so it works as a real deadline for turning the photo into notes.
Will I get reminders?
Yes. Byenote reminds you as a photo's time runs out, getting more urgent near the end. You can turn reminders off in Settings → Notifications.
What does “Burn” do?
Burning a photo deletes it permanently, straight away. It doesn't go to Recently Deleted and can't be recovered.
Can I get an expired photo back?
Open Recently Deleted and tap Restore. A restored photo is available for 3 hours, then it's deleted for good. On the free plan, Recently Deleted keeps your 2 most recent photos for 3 days; on Premium, photos stay for 14 days.
What's in Premium?
Unlimited photos at a time, timers from 3 to 48 hours, and more room in Recently Deleted. The free plan allows 2 photos at a time.
How do I cancel or restore my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple. To cancel, open your iPhone's Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Byenote. If you reinstall or switch phones, open Byenote → Settings → Upgrade → Restore Purchases.
I forgot my password
On the sign-in screen, enter your email and tap “Forgot password?”. Open the reset link on the same phone.
How do I delete my account?
In Byenote, go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. This permanently deletes your account and photos. It doesn't cancel an App Store subscription; cancel that in your iPhone's Settings.
